Biologists say that with the last gasp of death, the 30 trillion cells in a living being's body begin to die. A bacterium takes over each dead cell—for this purpose, the human body always carries 37 trillion bacteria. This process is called decomposition. These bacteria tear apart the dead cells, converting carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins into foul odors and gases. This stench becomes an invitation for flies and other insects, and together, nature’s forces erase the dead body within days. Even the remaining bones eventually turn to dust over time. This is the same body that is groomed, fed, and cared for from morning till night. The only thing that remains untouched by bacteria or insects is the soul—yet, this is the very soul that is left restless and hungry all day long.

A Powerful Message
- A football match lasts 90 minutes, a cricket match a full day, a movie 130 minutes—yet we can’t spare 5-10 minutes for prayer.
- Hell is for eternity, and so is Heaven—a thought for the wise to reflect upon.
- On WhatsApp: 302 contacts, on the phone: 200, in the neighborhood: 50—but in hardship, only a few relatives come to the funeral. In the grave, you are alone.
- Do not be surprised—this is life. The truth is, only your true worship will benefit you in the end.
- If I see dust gathering on the Quran in my home, I should weep for myself.
The Reality of This World
The world is strange—funeral after funeral, death after death. News strikes like lightning:
- "So-and-so died in an accident..."
- "So-and-so passed away from illness..."
- "While walking, they suddenly left this world..."
One by one, everyone is buried beneath the earth. Surely, my time and yours will also come. Prepare for the journey from which there is no return.
A Reminder
- Do not delay repentance, using youth as an excuse. Graves don’t have signs saying, "Only for the old."
- This world is temporary—yesterday is gone forever, today is fleeting, and tomorrow is uncertain.
- Forgive often, give charity often—we are all travelers passing through.
- O Allah, grant us a good ending. As you live, so shall you die—and as you die, so shall you be raised. What choice have you and I made?
A Reflection on Priorities
- Roads are jammed, markets are crowded.
- Banks have long lines, universities are full, playgrounds are packed.
- Yet, mosques remain empty.
- "O Lord, have mercy on us! O Lord, grant us the strength to reform!"
